This Week's Question
I own a business which takes up most of my time. As a matter of fact, I don't have any time left over for my wife and kids - or anything else. My Judaism is suffering, too. When I attend synagogue, I find myself reading the prayers or the Torah portion with out any emotions, almost as if it was just a book. It's very frustrating.
My wife and kids are the most important people in my life, I just want to be the best husband, best father and best person I can possibly be. But I feel that something crucial is missing. What suggestions do you have for me?

I used to read the Emails back and forth when people shared their personal outreach efforts. Some gestures seemed small, almost insignificant. Almost not even worth sharing with others. All I wanted was to fast forward to the punch line. Just tell me the end result.
Over time, seeing all your commitment and passion to touching other Jews who are not yet aware of how beautiful and accessible Torah is began to touch me. I thought, if he can have a conversation with his co-worker, his brother-in-law, or his mailman, then I can do the same with the secular Jews in "my circle" (family, friends, co-workers etc).
After all, I realized, who was I to assume they would NOT want to hear about or know how meaningful it is to be a Jew.
So, I created a small list of immediate family and friends who I could Email a weekly Torah portion vort to. I searched a few websites and landed on Aish.com's Torah Portion of the Week for Beginners. Specifically the Lessons vort.
What do you know, people responsed saying they liked what I sent. Some short responses by email, some approved when I spoke with them on the phone, and some wrote a whole Megillah response. I didn't know they had it in them. So I added more people to the list, and I got more responses.
There are now 41 people on my list BH. And I continue to get the most eye opening, beautiful, heartfelt responses from people I never expected to notice.
It is wonderful knowing I am in a unique position to give a gift to the people in "my circle" who may never have anyone else who can give them this access, or may not be willing to listen to anyone else. This becomes one of my purposes.
Thank you to everyone who shared of themselves ... and then continued to share more.
May all these efforts be a zechus/merit for everyone to be noticed by our Creator as a true Eved Hashem, and to receive blessings of Shalom, Chizuk, Health, Parnossah, and a sweetly sealed New Year!!!
Seems I came full circle myself, in more ways than one.
