Very disappointing
I found the video to be very amateurish and just plain silly. Disappointing that this is what money for kiruv is being spent on, silly videos that dont say anything. If the lead character is himself someone who knows how to do kiruv and cant, how could I be expected to do it. Same as other videos, makes you feel like its just too difficult to do, so dont even try.

product as good as gold
its nice to see that we all have similar insecurities when it comes to doing kiruv. i often say that we think that torah and mitsvos are something to be mellow and quite about and that this might be one of the greatest chisronos of our generation... that we dont understand the worth of the product that we are trying to share. thank you for the inspiring video.

Hmmm ....
I sincerely appreciate the effort to utilize the marketing trend of viral video as a new method of communicating within the kehilla. Short, light videos can be amazingly effective, and in that sense, the video can be considered groundbreaking in its use of this medium within the community.

Baseball Cap Equals Secular
I have to agree with the other commentors. Its a very common thing in the yeshivish world to portray a non-frum guy by putting a baseball cap on his head. There are so many frum people who wear baseball caps especially when its cool outside. Why would we assume someone isnt frum simply because he wears a baseball cap. Its like when my son comes home from school with little Yaakov and Asav dolls. Yaakov has a hat and tzitzis (even though he most probably didnt wear tzitzis back then) and Asav is wearing a baseball cap. Aside from that the video does a good job in portraying our resistance to reaching out to the non-frum. We live in Israel and we are surrounded by so many non-frum people who would probably feel very grateful if we would invite them for a shabbat meal. Unfortunately many of us just go on with our daily lives and do not reach out at all.

!Great!
Loved the whole series of videos. Made me laugh and remember how silly avoiding reaching out it, especially as others did so for me. Thanks again! Well done from a jew Down Under!

Powerful and inspiring. Thank you!
Powerful! Baruch Hashem the film ignited anew the urgency and importance of kiruv and helped to remind me of those opportunities Hashem sends our way and to make the most of them, Yasher Koach!

Watch out for stereotypes
Very nice message, but I agree with the other comment,I would assume that the man in the baseball cap is a modern orthodox Jew.He should have been bare-headed.

Kiruv Anxiety Disorder

the real lesson
I think the guy in the baseball cap should do some kiruv with the rude man who pushed his way through in the beginning of the video. Manners and making a kiddush Hashem is as important as listening to the Miami Boys Choir.

How do we know the guy wasn't religious
Plenty of religious orthodox Jews look exactly like that guy and listen to that music and can sing in tune or listen to music quietly, and keep shabbos and learn Torah etc. Why would one necessarily assume he wasn't religious...just bec. he wasn't wearing a black hat or presenting the 'yeshivish aesthetic' Other than that the video was fine.

so inspiring!!
That was so beautiful and inspiring...It's important for observant Jews to be proud and outgoing about yidishkeit and willing to share it instead of embarrassed and shy about it.. we have a MESORAH- 2,000 years of the truth, and people are just waiting to be asked!!!

Powerful
Imagine what we can do - we can literally change the entire world by simply reaching out to our fellow yidden, we just don't realize the power and opportunity that we have each and every day.

Yasher Koach!
Excellent work! Thank you for some much needed big laughs, and of course, some very thought provoking ideas. Rav Noach z'tl is certainly very pleased with your efforts to wake the sleeping giant! Hatzlacha Rabba!

Shabbos
A Baal Tsuvah grew up in Monsey and never spent a Shabbos for 34 years. When asked by a Rabbi why he never spent a Shabbos in a all that time he replied...No one ever asked me.
