For Your Inspiration The Impact of Words

Three years ago I met a woman at an Aish HaTorah conference. She was divorced with two kids and trying to grow in her Yiddishkeit. We spoke briefly and I shared some of my personal challenges as I was becoming frum. This past November, I was at another Aish conference and she was there. I couldn't remember her name, but she remembered me and told me that as a result of our conversation three years prior, she left the conference and decided to do 2 things:One was to invite guests on Friday night because I told her how disappointed my kids were when we didn't have Shabbos guests and two, was to PUT HER SON IN A JEWISH DAY SCHOOL! I couldn't stop crying when she told me this. I would never have known the influence of that one relatively brief conversation had I not bumped into her again at the conference. We never know the impact of our words or actions.
